When distilling whiskey, first the barley (malt), which is the main raw material, is crushed and saccharified to extract the wort necessary for fermentation.

This time let us explain the process of crushing.

First, we put barley (malt) into a crusher and divide into husk, grits, flour, and they are called “grist”. Mixed ratio of grist is considered very important for whisky making.
