Kyoto Miyako Distillery

Kyoto Miyako Distillery is located in Kyotamba-Cho. It is a peaceful town on the Tamba Highland and surrounded by mountains including Mt. Chorogatake.
Not far from the distillery, there is Yura River which is known as Ayu (Sweetfish) fishing ground. Here you can feel the richness and charm of the nature.

Due to the highland weather, the temperature difference between day and night in Kyotamba-Cho is big.
This temperature range has a great impact on barrels which accelerate the aging of whisky.
While respecting the traditional and basic whisky making method, we will continue to take on new challenges with no fear.
